John Dagnell has been involved in the music industry for over thirty years, ever since he started playing drums in the mid-seventies. By 1981 he had discovered that his future lay off stage and had started his first record label, as well as moving into the world of band merchandising. Working with renowned promoter Adrian Hopkins, Dagnell was to tour with the likes of Thin Lizzy, Genesis, Imagination, Johnny Cash and Van Morrison, as well as tour managing Steeleye Span. He also set up the Flutterby Label for Hopkins.

Heading out on his own, John was to start his own merchandise and touring operation, before returning to the record business in 1989 with the launch of Park Records.
